    A former nurse and natural nurturer, Nicole brings a steady, compassionate presence to every relationship Surrender Network serves. Her work with Samaritan’s Purse DART teams shaped her ability to listen deeply, act calmly under pressure, and care for people when it matters most.

    As Director of Partnerships, she is the relational anchor of our organization, supporting clients with warmth and clarity while championing the health and alignment of our Guide team. Leaders often say having Nicole in the room feels like having a gifted 1-to-1 coach in their corner: intuitive, encouraging, and committed to their growth.

    Darien Sears - Consultant

    Darien is a former Navy Officer and MIT-trained naval engineer who now serves as a leadership consultant with Surrender Network. She partners with mechanical and industrial engineering firms across Hampton Roads to develop aligned, accountable, and high performing teams.

    A lifelong fitness enthusiast, Darien brings a holistic approach to leadership, helping clients grow not just as professionals, but as whole people.

    Clark Taylor - Consultant

    A Norfolk native with an MBA from Campbell University, Clark has spent his career helping people and communities grow. A former pastor turned commercial real estate entrepreneur, he now leads investment and development projects while coaching leaders to discover their God-given purpose and talents.

    Clark married his best friend, Caton, in 2005, and they have three kids. He loves the outdoors, hunting, and serving alongside his family at Tabernacle Church of Norfolk

    Jill Coyle - Wise Counsel

    Jill brings a rare blend of spiritual depth and marketplace savvy to her work with leaders. After meeting Danny as Third Culture Kids in Hong Kong, they built a life of impact, launching an export business, founding and pastoring a church in Beijing, and walking closely with orphans, NGOs, refugees, and young leaders. Together, they started 3eCoaching in 2013 to help people navigate the same kinds of transitions they’ve faced: loneliness, serial moves, cultural tensions, marriage struggles, and parenting TCKs.

    As Wise Counsel, Jill guides leaders through sabbaticals, life coaching, transitions, and business growth with clarity and care. Her presence invites reflection, alignment, and transformation. She is especially gifted at helping leaders reconnect to purpose and move forward with intention.

    Danny is a steady voice for leaders navigating change, complexity, and calling. With a rich background in global leadership, Danny draws from over two decades of experience spanning business, ministry, and cross-cultural life. He and his wife Jill met as Third Culture Kids in Hong Kong and later moved to Beijing, where they built an export company across five cities and founded a thriving church community. As co-founder of 3eCoaching, Danny has walked alongside leaders facing transition, crisis, and deep personal change.

    As Wise Counsel, Danny offers transition coaching, sabbatical support, life direction, and business coaching, always rooted in a calm presence and strategic discernment. Leaders turn to him for clarity when the stakes are high and a grounded voice when it’s time to realign.

Our History

My name is Edy Herrera. Regent University brought me to Hampton Roads in 2010, and since then, my heart has been deeply rooted in serving this community. My journey into leadership development was shaped by a passion for creating spaces where leaders can thrive where love and freedom guide every decision, every conversation, and every transformation.

I founded Surrender Network Leadership Development because I believe leadership is not just about strategy and execution it’s about the people behind the vision. True leadership is about surrendering to a higher purpose, stepping into authentic influence, and fostering environments where individuals feel a deep sense of belonging and purpose.

Throughout my years of working with executives, I’ve witnessed a common challenge: leaders striving for high performance without realizing that sustainable success comes from leading with intentionality and awareness. I saw a need for a coaching framework that helps leaders not just manage teams, but truly transform them by building trust, fostering growth, and embracing their unique calling.

We empower executives to cultivate high-performing teams through heart-centered leadership. Our approach doesn’t just inspire, it delivers measurable results.
