Healthy Rhythms: Healthy Habits Start Pre-Kitchen

“Man, I’m starving...(B-lines toward Costco and tries all the free samples, gets things not needed, and finishes off with a pizza and coke after checkout)

Who has every done this or similar before??

No judgments, I have been there too.

One of the simplest ways to make healthier choices is to eat before you grocery shop or run errands.

Shopping while hungry often leads to impulse purchases and grabbing convenience foods you never intended to buy. When you prepare ahead, you're much more likely to stick to your plan.

……

Having a plan saves time, money, and decision fatigue.

It brings order to your spending and your eating habits while making healthy choices the easy choices.

Packing nutritious snacks for yourself and your family also helps prevent reaching for whatever is most convenient when life gets busy.

As August brings the transition back to school and a busier season of work, now is the perfect time to establish healthy rhythms.

Set yourself up for success by planning ahead today, so you're not relying on willpower tomorrow.

Healthy leaders don't leave good decisions to chance, they prepare for them.
