Strength in Your Legs: Endurance, Forward Motion & Carrying The Load

Can you withstand the weight of your responsibilities?

Whenever I’m running hills, my legs remind me of one thing:

forward motion takes power, but sustained motion takes endurance.

Strength in the legs isn’t just about force -

it’s the capacity to keep going when the incline increases.

Great leaders don’t sprint through challenges;

they build endurance for long roads.

————

Physically, your lower body drives locomotion, power, and movement efficiency.

Strong legs support metabolism, improve balance and stability, reduce injury risk, and make everyday movement safer and easier -

all while supporting posture and long-term health.

Research shows that muscular endurance is developed through controlled, higher-repetition resistance training.

This phase of our Healthy Leaders series builds your ability to produce force over time -

laying the foundation before heavier strength and growth can occur, and helping you avoid early burnout.

In short… don’t skip leg day,

but rather,

get after it with zeal and a sense of excitement that this will contribute to you LIVING the FULLEST version of you!

CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK:

Check out these key leg-strengthening exercises:

Always Brace/Engage your Core
