From technicians or engineers needing to be steady or hold heavy things constantly

to administrators needing to flip papers or type extensive amounts each day,

your hands turn daily complex demands into action.

Long hours at the keyboard, repetitive tool use, or poor wrist positioning can lead to stiffness, weakness, carpal tunnel symptoms, arthritis, or loss of precision over time.

Strong hands aren’t just about grip - they require steadiness, flexibility, and control to keep doing what life and work require.

CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK:

  • Stress Ball Squeezes

    • Using any squeezable item, squeeze for 2 seconds, release for 2 seconds. [3x12 reps]

  • Rubber Band Extensions

    • Place rubber band around pinky and thumb and extend fingers outward. Use smaller rubber band as you switch to ring, middle and index fingers. [3x7 reps each]

  • Dead Hang

    • Holding onto a pull-up bar with both hands, allow gravity to pull you as you grip the bar. Keep your core engaged and relax your shoulders. [3x10 seconds]

REFLECTION:

  • Are your hands naturally relaxed or stressed?

  • Are you able to hold what is required of you, with the current state of your hands?
