Summertime Essentials: Move More, Sit Less
Our bodies are made for movement!
If you had to take a wild guess, how many minutes do you spend sitting down in your average day? (Sleeping doesn’t count)
Think of your computer time, meetings, commuting, tv time, social media scrolling etc.. While dedicated workouts are important, they can't fully undo the effects of sitting all day.
Regular movement improves circulation, joint mobility, energy, posture, mood, blood sugar regulation, and even mental focus. The good news is you don't have to spend hours in the gym to experience the benefits. Taking the stairs, parking farther away, walking during phone calls, stretching between meetings, or playing outside with your family are all simple ways to move more throughout the day.
Healthy leaders aren’t waiting for the perfect workout - they’re looking for opportunities to move. Every step, stretch, and intentional movement is an investment in your health, your longevity, and your ability to continue showing up for the people who depend on you.
CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK:
