Power = Strength X Speed
It’s Not Just What You Can Do - It’s How Quickly You Can Do It
We’ve spent this year stabilizing our foundation, building strength, and learning how to fuel ourselves well. Now it’s time to put that capacity to work.
Welcome to our final phase: POWER!
In fitness, power is your ability to produce force quickly. You can think of it simply as strength + speed - not just can you move it? but how quickly can you produce the force when you need it?
Power IS NOT just for athletes.
Think about quickly climbing stairs, catching yourself when you trip, lifting something off the ground, jumping, reacting to something falling, or getting up quickly when life demands it.
As we age, maintaining our ability to move with strength and speed becomes increasingly important for everyday function and independence.
The same principle applies to leadership. We've spent months building awareness, strength, healthier rhythms, and better fuel - but capacity isn't meant to sit unused.
Healthy leaders build themselves so they're ready to respond when the moment requires something from them.
This quarter, we're taking what we've built and learning how to deploy it with purpose.
Let’s do it!
CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK:
Level Up with Power!
Move With Intent: During one workout this week, notice the speed of your movements - not just the weight.
Add Some Power: If appropriate for your fitness level, try a few controlled movements like faster sit-to-stands, step-ups, or light medicine-ball movements.
Use What You've Built: Identify one area where you've grown this year and intentionally put that growth into action.
NEXT STEPS:
As you come along this weekly year-long journey, I invite you to a complimentary 90-minute taste at what it looks like to experience a Healthy Culture in your teams, organizations, and homes. Find out more about our Healthy Culture Seminar through this link.
